Swords Dance Weavile makes for a great cleaner against types like Flying, Ground, and Dragon, (ac) as it deals with nuisances like Celesteela, Landorus, and Mega Altaria. Icium Z-boosted Icicle Crash lets Weavile break through and OHKO defensive walls like Celesteela, Gastrodon, and Ferrothorn after minimal chip damage at +2 and immediately remove Mega Diancie and bulkier variants of Mega Altaria. Although it is less consistent than Icicle Crash, Triple Axel provides Weavile with much higher wallbreaking power and the ability to immediately remove Ogerpon-C at the cost of making it vulnerable to contact damage from Skarmory and Ferrothorn and checked more easily by Archaludon. However, this lets Weavile use Heavy-Duty Boots instead of Icium Z due to Triple Axel's higher damage ceiling than Icicle Crash. Knock Off removes key items from switch-ins like Rotom-W, Archaludon, and Celesteela, making them easier for Weavile to overwhelm later. Ice Shard picks off faster threats like Mega Aerodactyl and Choice Scarf users like Meowscarada, Roaring Moon, and Enamorus. Ting-Lu provides entry hazard support, which helps Weavile gain the appropriate thresholds for OHKOing defensive walls like Celesteela, and it also deals with special attackers like Volcarona, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Koko. Nasty Plot Hydreigon and Galarian Moltres form a potent wallbreaking core with Weavile, with the former dealing with Slowbro, Archaludon, and Toxapex and the latter handling faster threats like Latios and Enamorus. Weavile also fits on hyper offense teams, with teammates like Grimmsnarl providing dual screens support to give it more room to set up and Dragon Dance Mega Tyranitar battering down opposing teams for it to clean up later. If slotted in on balance teams, Weavile greatly appreciates Mega Sableye and Mandibuzz keeping entry hazards off the field and taking on Fighting-types like Sneasler. Mandibuzz also checks physical setup sweepers like Mega Scizor with Foul Play and pivots Weavile in with U-turn.
